Hi, I'm Jenna

As to art, all I could ever muster was a stick figure. I thought that was pretty good because unlike other people’s stick figures that seem to always be standing up, I drew my stick figures sitting down!  But who wants to just draw stick figures? Right?

I signed up for one of Lynnette’s classes at ART OF GIVING PAINTING AND PARTIES STUDIO and that started a whole new dimension in drawing and painting for me. She started out with the very basics and in almost no time I was wielding a paint brush almost like a pro.

After I got the hang of it, I decided to give a special painting to each of my very best and closest friends.  I painted a flower for ,Emily.  She wins first prize for best lawn and flower garden almost every year.  I painted a bowl of fruit for Margie.  They have an orchard right in their back yard.  She makes the best apple butter you ever tasted!  The country barn was for Agnes.  We used to play in that barn growing up.  I painted the angel, (o.k., maybe he looks a little funny but he will pass for a ‘fallen angel’- its the thought, too, that counts, isn’t it?) the angel was painted for Betsy.  She’s got religion and prays a lot for us. .

When we got together at my house a few weeks ago  I gave them my surprise presents of my paintings for them.   Shocked, they began to laugh at me,   “Jena, we know you.  You couldn’t paint the kitchen wall much less these pictures!”   So, I got out my easel, set up canvas and my paint, pallet and brushes and painted a picture of a tree right then and there. They quit laughing!  Seeing me with new eyes, they watched in rapt attention as the tree took shape.

When it was finished it was my turn to laugh, but I didn’t.  Instead I told them how wonderful a teacher Lynnette is and that, if she could teach me to paint, she can teach anybody to paint.

If I can do this, YOU CAN DO THIS, TOO!

I guarantee you, you have an artist in you.

All you need is a little encouragement, which Lynnette and her team will supply in abundance, and a little bit of faith to move that mountain of doubt or fear or whatever to open the door for your inner artist.

The first step is to sign up for one of the classes with ART OF GIVING PAINTING AND PARTIES.

Just do it. You’ll see, and you’ll thank me.

Hey! Let’s paint and let’s party!

I PAINTED THIS FOR LYNNETTE AS A WAY OF SAYING, "THANKS!"

kind words from my amazing tribe

For me, going to Lynnette Pair's class every week is much more than going for a painting lesson. When I began painting I searched for a Christian teacher and luckily found Lynnette. She is not only a great painting teacher but also a person who conducts class with a spiritual touch. Being a good teacher she is always ready and willing to help us with our paintings when we get lost and not sure what to do next, freely gives her opinions and suggestions which we all value. I thoroughly enjoy painting pictures for my family which gives me so me so much joy.

We went to a birthday party there last January and loved it. Then we had my daughter's birthday party there last week and had an amazing time. She's so easy to work with and it just made for such a laid-back, no hassle party experience where we all came away with such neat keepsakes from our kids. Can't say enough good things about her and the studio. Can't wait to go back!
